The Greatest Salad Ever Made

John requested salad for dinner so I came up with a salad that wasn't too boring and had a little bit of everything. I feel like if you're eating just salad for dinner you need to have as many food groups present as possible.


It is also pretty easy to make, which is an added benefit:


Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 apple, chopped
  • 1 pear, chopped
  • 6 slices of bacon-cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup of craisins
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 4 oz of crumbled goat cheese
Once the bacon is cooked, add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix together.

The best dressing to use on this salad is poppy-seed dressing. It provides a touch of sweatness and completes the salad perfectly. 

This makes enough for four people. I also made some biscuits to go with it. I will definitely be making this meal again!
