Dinner for $1.50 a meal!

Happy New Year. I spent yesterday cleaning my house and putting away Christmas Decor. I started at 9:00 and stopped at 6:30...it took ALL day. But, it was worth it because my entire house it clean, my attic is clean and organized and I'm ready for a fresh start to the new year. After cleaning the house I am almost ready for a yard sale...here's a picture of our yard sale pile...after cleaning out the house yesterday.

Crazy huh!?

Also, don't forget to enter this week's contest for three yards of Fabric! There aren't many entries right now and all you need to do to enter is like our Facebook page. Click here for more info

So, I'm always looking for easy, low cost recipes...as I'm sure many of you are! Costco is a great place to put together frugal meals that are appetizing and yummy too!

This week, I picked up some of Costco's spinach and cheese ravioli. For $10.00 you get two packages, each package contains 20 raviolis.

I simply threw 5 raviolis into a pot of boiling water and cooked them for about 5 minutes. I removed them, placed them on my plate and topped them with about 1 TB of shredded Parmesan, and a pinch of parsley. I cut up a few cherry tomatoes and placed those on top as well. (though you could just use a few tablespoons of tomato sauce if you have that instead)

I found that it was very filling and the total cost (if you only use 5 raviolis) comes to only $1.50.

So, to summarize....a great easy meal (that can be frozen until you're ready to use), takes about 10 minutes to prepare and costs only $1.50. You can't beat that right?

I found that it was filling and delicious. Also, even after adding the cheese and tomatoes it only came to 300 calories! Not bad at all.

So if you don't have a Costco Membership, it is well worth the investment. We use ours all the time.
