We've been on vacation in Massanutten since Friday evening. For those who don't know, Massanutten is a huge resort located in the Shenandoah Valley area of Virginia. Us and six of our good friends (and their kids) have been with us over the weekend but unfortunately have to leave later today. Me and the Mr. will be here for a few more days though!
On Saturday, we picked apples at Graves Mountain. They were having an Apple Harvest Festival and so there were a ton of booths and yummy autumn food. We enjoyed some good funnel cake, ate some BBQ, and picked some apples. The weather was absolutely perfect. John's brother and sister in law live outside of DC and drove 2 hours to meet us! But once we got there, there was absolutely NO cell phone service so we had no way of meeting up with each other (there were thousands of people at the festival). We just so happened to run into them though so that was great. It would have been so sad to know they'd driven so far and not get to see each other!
There is a water park at the resort and that's where we went today. It took Lilly quite a while to warm up to the idea of being in the water but she eventually
Other than that we've just been playing games, watching football, and chasing the kids around...oh and eating!! I'm so glad we were able to get away and glad that our friends were too!
