Decorating For Fall!

This weekend I put out my fall decorations! I know it's not officially fall yet but the temperature here in VA is now in the 70's during the day and I'm ready for some pumpkin patches, hot cider and changing leaves!

I've picked most of my decorations up over the last few years from yard sales and a few from Kirkland's (on sale of course!) So this year I felt like my collection was complete and didn't need to buy anything else...all I had to do was set them out.

I always decorate my front porch and my living room. My living room is so fun to decorate for the fall because it is already brown and orange. To see some other pictures of my living room click here.

Here are a few before and after pics: I love how the pumpkins just "fit" into this room so easily.

You'll notice that we have these weird planters in our living room (the by product of owning a 1970's house) Oh well.

This is the front porch after putting the decorations out. I love the baskets that hang on each side of the window. The leaves are simply a string of leaves from Michael's. I got the hanging metal baskets from Joanne's in their clearance section after the season was over.

I draped this string of leaves around the base of my metal stand and then placed a few ceramic/wood pumpkins around as well. The glass cylinder is from the dollar store. It is filled with pinecones and leaves and tied with yellow raffia.

I made the wreath on the front door and filled a watering can I have with more pinecones and leaves from Michael's.

Welcome to our house! And Welcome Fall!
