It's the end of the world!

So, on Sunday nights we have dinner with two other couples. We switch houses every week so that we all have a chance to cook every third week. Last night was our night. It was our friend Craig's birthday so his wife made him a delicious cake and John put 29 candles on it for Craig to blow out. Craig was sitting opposite of me, with the cake in-between and mid-way through I thought it would be a good idea to help him blow them all out. Lately, I haven't been the sharpest crayon in the box and obviously when someone is blowing smoke into your face it's not a smart move to inhale deeply. It was comical none the less.

For those who don't know, K-mart is going out of the food selling business. (Personally, I think they'll soon be going out of the selling business all together, but that's just my opinion). Anyways, all their food is 40-50% off right now. So after dinner, (we usually play a card game or just chat) we decided to all go to K-Mart and buy groceries. We were there for about an hour and a half and I'm sure to the random person watching looked completely ridiculous. I had a mixed feeling between being a tourist (we all showed up with our coupons and were flipping through them as we all walked around excitedly) and feeling like the world was about to end (or at least a hurricane was coming) and we were stocking up on as many non-perishables as possible. Either way, it was a fun evening. I have some amazing friends and miss them so much when I don't see them for a while. I am very blessed by the great people God has placed in my life.

  1. How much longer is the sale going on? I have grocery shopping that needs to be done this week.

Inhaling smoke is usually a bad thing.

  2. I think it's going on until everything is gone.
