So yesterday I was able to get to the thrift store. My goal was to find some white, pink or green serving dishes for Lilly's birthday party (Specifically something to hold cupcakes) but I didn't have luck in that area :(
I did find a few good things though
The book is "Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson
You can find it on Amazon by clicking the link below:
A few people in my book club have read this book and said it was really interesting. It's about the Chicago World Fair in 1893. It's a nail-biter murder mystery but also does a good job of explaining how the fair was constructed and what it was like to be at the world fair during that time. So, when I spotted it for $.95 I couldn't help but pick it up! I'm looking forward to reading it!
The pink tablecloth was $1.98 and I got it for the party. (My colors are green and pink)
The two vases were $.75 each and I also purchased those for the party. Right now the plan is to use them as part of the centerpieces for the tables where people will be eating, but that could change...only time will tell :)
Have you had any good thrift store finds this week? I'm planning on going to some more today in hopes to find that cupcake platter...wish me luck!
