The book club I'm in meets every Tuesday evening. There are currently about 8 members and we cycle through so that each member has the opportunity to lead a book of their choice (once everyone has had a chance, we start the cycle over again) I am currently leading: Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy. We've just started the book but I think it's going to be a good one. If you'd like to purchase it, click on the link below.
It's a pretty lengthy book and will end up taking most of the fall. Because of this, I thought it would be nice to make bookmarks for all the ladies that were "fall-inspired". I purchased two sheets of card-stock and cut out my desired lengths. Then I punched a hole in the top and ran some corresponding ribbon through the hole. I glued the orange card-stock on using a glue-stick. After writing on each bookmark I painted over each one using Mod Podge, this made is extra sturdy.
I was planning on giving the bookmarks to the girls last night but we cancelled at the last minute due to a torrential downpour in our area...I guess they'll have to wait until next Tuesday!
Also, here are a few photos of our area...and why we couldn't have book club! This is the second time we've had flooding like this in the last three days...

Love your bookmark idea!
ReplyDeleteBut not the flooding..... stay safe.
I so wish there was a way to get a few of those inches of rain here, we'd be happy to help out!
